اَلْهَادُّ [el-hâdd] (ism-i fâ’il bünyesiyle) Denizden gelen gürültülü savt-ı şedîde ıtlâk olunur; yukâlu: سَمِعَ أَهْلُ السَّاحِلِ هَادًّا مِنْ قِبَلِ الْبَحْرِ أَيْ صَوْتًا فِيهِ دَوِيٌّ Ve bu fi’l-asl ism-i fâ’ildir, ba’dehu savt-ı merkûmda ism olmuştur.

اَلْحَادُّ [el-hâdd] Keskin şey’e denir; yukâlu: رَائِحَةٌ حَادَّةٌ أَيْ ذَكِيَّةٌ Ve حَادٌّ [hâdd] Zevcinden sonra mâtemle zîb ve zîneti terk eden hatuna denir ki sülâsîdendir.
